Wheel thrown glazed stoneware, they are high fired and durable. With lead free glaze, It is food, microwave, and dishwasher safe.

Mixture of grayish clear glaze with white decorative clay on medium dark red clay body. This uniquely decorated teapot has been executed with two very well-known classic ceramic techniques of sgraffito and mishima. Please see the bottom of this listing if you are interested.
This piece is absolutely one of a kind. With its unique placement of its handle this teapot was initially made for left- handed. However it is pretty comfortable for right handed person as well. Not only it will be perfect for every day use for your favorite tea, It will make lovely decorative piece for your dining room. Or it will make wonderful gift for someone special.

Sgraffito (in Italian "to scratch") is a decorating pottery technique produced by applying layers of color or colors (underglazes or colored slips) to leather hard pottery and then scratching off parts of the layer(s) to create contrasting images, patterns and texture and reveal the clay color underneath.

Mishima is a technique of inlaying slip, underglaze, or even clay into a contrasting clay body, the main clay body of the pottery piece. It is style of Japanese pottery adopted from Korea, probably in the 16th century.
